Training Development Programme
The Training Development Programme is a funding process that enables us to provide you with significantly reduced course costs.
The TDP programme applies to all Safety 'n Action courses including Height Safety, Fire Extinguisher and Chemical Handling.
The programme is available to any size company, individual, contractor or self employed person that undertakes a structured programme of training.
The Cost Savings are Significant
| Course | Standard Advertised Cost | Training and Development Programme Cost |
| Confined Space 2 day course | $450 (+GST) per person | $225 (+GST) per person |
| Hazard Permit Receiver - 2 day course | $450 (+GST) per person | $225 (+GST) per person |
| Height Safety 1 day course | $225 (+GST) per person | $125 (+GST) per person |
To be eligible, each trainee must be a New Zealand Resident or Citizen and must not recieve any other training subsidies. Each trainee must then complete a 'Training Form' which is signed by the employer and employee. These forms will be sent to you at the time of booking a program or can be completed at the course.
The programme is designed around completion of a minimum 20 credits of unit standards which are assessed and recorded on each participants NZQA record of learning. This process is included as part of our service under the Training Development Programme. The mandatory component of the TDP programme is "Hazard Identification". For those customers undertaking Confined Space Training we have included the Hazard component in our new one day confined space reassessment course.
Refresher and Reassessment Courses
If you have already completed a full course you have not missed out completely. By completing our Training Form we are able to reduce the cost of your next 1 day refresher course cost from $195.00 to $79.20 per person. This offer applies to 1 refresher course per person following the full course programme undertaken with Safety 'n Action.
Confined Space Reassessment - Our New One Day Programme
The content of this refresher course has been changed and will now run over One Day from March 2009.
The main reason behind the change is due to feedback from our participants. The consensus is that we will be able to cover a greater practical component with more time spent on one on one knowledge requirements. We have always endeavoured to ensure sufficient overall competency but the additional time will enable us to better assess individual competency.
We will also include a greater component of "Workplace" related safety issues in the confined space programme. We will be including knowledge on areas such as safety responsibilities, fatigue, back injury prevention, chemicals, hygiene, noise and incident reporting. The inclusion of a greater "Hazard" component with practical learning basis is an example of our "Real Workplace Training" approach.
We are contacting as many customers as we can to explain the TDP programme and eligibility criteria. (note: that some conditions do apply).
