Plan with purpose. Deliver with confidence, on your schedule.
This online course is designed for those who want to develop their planning and instructional design skills with the flexibility to learn over time. Delivered over two months, it allows you to plan, apply, and refine learning sessions within your own workplace while working towards your assessment.
Instead of completing all learning in a single day, this course supports a more practical, real-world approach where you can develop and test your planning in context.
This course equips adult educators and trainers with the skills to plan effective learning sessions. Through online learning and workplace-based application, you’ll learn how to set clear learning outcomes, structure and sequence content, consider learner needs and stakeholders, and apply proven frameworks such as SMART objectives and Bloom’s Taxonomy.
Learners are required to plan and apply learning sessions within their own workplace and submit evidence as part of their assessment. This ensures your planning skills are demonstrated in real-world contexts.
All students are required to have a level of written and oral English equivalent to NCEA level 1 (year 11) or IELTS 5.5 or higher, to be eligible to attend our courses.
