  3. Taranaki Training Centre Open Evening
Tuesday, 14 May 2019

In May 2019 Safety 'n Action opened a new, custom-built training centre in New Plymouth as part of an ongoing commitment to the Taranaki region.

With interest and feedback from Venture NZ, Worksafe and Skills, a number of the Taranaki business community chatted to some of our local trainers and checked out our new facilities over cold beverages and a BBQ. Two of our New Plymouth trainers, Jonno Singleton and Tim Heap were on hand answering questions.

We're looking forward to continuing great work in the Taranaki.

Safety ‘n Action have previously operated a training centre in New Plymouth in Bell Block. The training centre reopening coincides with a relocation to Sunley Street, Westown.

The facility is designed to accommodate an increased number of health and safety training courses specific to Taranaki’s key industries, including mining, electricity, construction, gas, and water and waste services. These industries have a high requirement for competency in health and safety practices.

Courses are run from the New Plymouth Safety ‘n Action centre by a number of diligent and talented trainers from local and surrounding areas; Bevan Chapman, Tim Heap, Jonno Singfield, Maurice Davis, and Paul Ash.
