Health & Safety Trainer Vacancies

  • Health & Safety Trainer West Auckland (Full Time)

    Locations: West Auckland

    Safety ‘n Action is seeing professional safety trainers to keep up with the industry growth.  Our trainers are highly experience and practical people. They all have a share passion in providing their students with the knowledge and tools needed to incorporate sound safety practices into everyday decisions and activities.

    This role is training adults and high school aged children.

    A Health and Safety Trainer is required to undertake advisory services and deliver health and safety training of a high standard to our customers.  They are also required to undertake necessary administrative duties, including processing training related documentation such as evaluations and assessments. Trainers are provided with set target. This role will comfortable to deliver training materials online as well as paper.


    Eligibility Criteria:

    • Solid understanding of New Zealand Health & Safety legislation
    • Background in a formal trade, manufacturing, armed or emergency services would be desirable
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Experience in classroom training delivery, particularly in fire safety, heights, confined spaces and MEWP
    • Confident to deliver digital based training materials
    • Working toward or holding NZQA assessment qualification (US4098)

  • Health & Safety Trainer BOP (Contract)

    Locations: Bay of Plenty

    We are looking for an experienced contract Health & Safety Trainer to join us, supporting delivery during busy times.

    This role is ideal for a confident, hands-on trainer who enjoys stepping in, getting started quickly, and delivering practical, engaging health and safety training that makes a real difference on site and in the classroom.

    You’ll be delivering face-to-face training to adult and high school-aged learners, working alongside a supportive and experienced team who are passionate about raising safety standards across New Zealand workplaces.

    As a Contract Health & Safety Trainer, you’ll be responsible for delivering high-quality training, as well as completing essential training-related administration such as assessments and course documentation. This role is practical, people-focused, and suited to someone who is comfortable taking the lead in a training environment.

    Eligibility Criteria:
    To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

    • Strong working knowledge of New Zealand Health & Safety legislation,
    • Experience delivering Health & Safety training, particularly in areas such as MEWP, Working at Heights and Confined Spaces,
    • Confident, engaging communication skills with adult learners,
    • Comfortable delivering structured, paper-based training materials,
    • NZQA assessment qualification (US4098),
    • Ability to hit the ground running and commit for the duration of the contract.

    This is an inbound customer service role, focused on helping organisations book training, answering enquiries, and providing clear, helpful guidance. You’ll take time to understand customer needs and, where appropriate, recommend additional training options that genuinely add value.

    The role suits someone who enjoys meaningful conversations, is naturally caring and organised, and understands the balance between great service and commercial awareness. You’ll work closely with customers and internal teams, contributing to positive experiences and strong outcomes.

    Training will be provided on our systems, products, and services, with opportunities to develop your skills and grow within the organisation.

    Safety ’n Action is looking for an experienced Outbound Sales Team Lead to join our Albany-based team and drive the next phase of growth across our national training operation.

    This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys outbound sales, understands what great looks like on the phone, and knows how to coach others to succeed. You’ll lead a small team of outbound sales specialists while remaining active in outbound calling yourself.

    You’ll be responsible for building pipeline, converting opportunities into bookings, and setting the standard for professional, consistent outbound sales execution. Working closely with marketing, scheduling, and customer experience teams, you’ll play a key role in revenue growth and team performance.

    Eligibility Criteria:
    To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

    • ·   Proven outbound or inside sales experience

    • Experience leading or mentoring sales team members

    • Strong coaching and performance management skills
