Health & Safety Trainer Vacancies

  • Health & Safety Trainer (Full Time)

    Locations: Auckland, Wellington

    Safety 'n Action Ltd and Axiom Training, New Zealand’s largest providers of workplace safety and driver licensing training, are on the lookout for an energetic Health & Safety Trainer to cover our Auckland sites in Highbrook and Albany.     Eligibility Criteria:

    • Solid understanding of New Zealand Health & Safety legislation
    • A Health & Safety qualification (preferred)
    • Experience in training delivery, particularly in fire safety, heights, confined spaces and MEWP
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Working toward or holding NZQA assessment qualification (US4098)
    • Background in construction, manufacturing, trades, or emergency services is a plus

    Eligibility Criteria:

    • Able to train/teach in particular Confined Space, MEWP, Heights, Hazardous substances, and low-level scaffolding would be ideal.

Forklift Trainer Vacancies

  • Forklift Trainer (Contract)

    Locations: Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington

    We’re seeking experienced Forklift Trainers to join our nationwide training pool on a contracted basis. This role is central to delivering top-quality training and ensuring learners leave confident, competent, and safe on the job.

    Based in Auckland, Hamilton, or Wellington, you’ll primarily deliver Forklift training in your region, with opportunities to travel to other locations when required. The ability to train in WTR (Wheels, Tracks, Rollers) and Dangerous Goods (DG) is highly desirable, providing you with even more variety in the courses you deliver.

    As a contract Forklift Trainer, you’ll combine practical experience, professionalism, and strong communication skills to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

    Eligibility Criteria:
    To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

    • NZQA Unit Standard 4098 (assessors) completed or in progress
    • NZQA Unit Standard 10851 (Operate a powered industrial lift truck – forklift)
    • Current Forklift “F” endorsement
    • Previous experience in training or assessment
    • Ability to also train WTR and DG (desirable)
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • Patient, professional, and supportive with learners
    • Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements

    We’re seeking two experienced Asbestos Class B Trainer to join our pool of contract trainers. These roles are central to delivering high-quality training and ensuring learners leave confident, competent, and compliant with industry safety standards.

    Based in the North & South Island, you’ll deliver Non-Friable Asbestos Class B Removal training to a wide variety of clients. You’ll bring proven industry knowledge, professionalism, and strong communication skills, creating a supportive and engaging learning environment.

    Eligibility Criteria:
