Ailish Thompson is Safety 'n Action’s Relationship Manager for the Manawatū, Whanganui, and Taranaki regions. With a background in recruitment and a strong focus on occupational health and safety, Ailish brings energy, empathy, and a solutions-focused approach to every client relationship.
Prior to joining Safety 'n Action, Ailish spent six years in recruitment, working closely with a wide range of industries and gaining firsthand insight into the training and compliance challenges businesses face. She is currently studying towards a graduate diploma in Occupational Health and Safety Management, further strengthening her ability to support safer, more resilient workplaces.
Ailish takes the time to understand how each business operates. She builds trust through listening, asking the right questions, and tailoring training to each team’s specific needs. She is a strong advocate for practical, accessible safety training, especially in areas like first aid and fire warden preparation. She is driven by the knowledge that her work contributes to keeping people safe at work and beyond.
Outside of work, Ailish competes in ocean swimming, with a personal best of 7.5 kilometres. She once represented her previous employer at an Olympic-length triathlon in Lanzarote. Her competitive mindset and focus on endurance translate naturally into her professional life, where consistency, clarity, and care define her approach.
