Strategies to Tame Stress is an online course that teaches you how to manage stress in healthy and practical ways. You’ll learn how to recognise stress triggers, use proven techniques like relaxation, journalling, and mindfulness, and build habits that help you stay calm and in control. This course is designed to give you easy-to-use tools that fit into your everyday life, helping you feel more focused, resilient, and balanced.

Key Learning Outcomes

  1. Identify healthy versus unhealthy coping strategies and assess your own approach to stress.
  2. Apply practical stress management techniques - such as relaxation, journaling, and cognitive reframing - to reduce tension and improve well-being.
  3. Develop a personalised plan to build resilience by cultivating an internal locus of control and integrating stress-reduction habits into daily life.

Entry Criteria:

All students are required to have a level of written and oral English equivalent to NCEA level 1 (year 11) or IELTS 5.5 or higher, to be eligible to attend our courses. The person responsible for making bookings or authorizing attendance on the course must agree to these Terms and Conditions prior to acceptance of their student(s) onto the course. Where a student does not meet our English language requirement a reader/writer must be supplied by the student or the person responsible for authorizing the student’s attendance. The reader/writer cannot be another student attending the same course.
