Get a relevant workplace practical understanding and knowledge on how to deal with chemicals in the workplace.
This is a tailored course for PCBU who wish to meet the requirements of Hazardous Substance Regulation 4.5 and 4.6. This is a non unit standard course designed to inform workers of the specific hazards of their worksite and how to safety handle and deal with an emergency. We also ensure they are aware to a workers duties in respect of the substances they handle. A range of practical exercises may be completed including Decanting a liquid, Changing a gas Cylinder or Spill management.

- Knowledge of obligations under the Hazardous Substances Regulations 2017 Regulations
- Understanding the physicochemical and health hazards associated with chemicals at work
- Site Specific procedures for safe storage and handling of plant and substances
- Emergency procedures relevant to their site
