Ensure your knowledge of operating a truck loader crane and identifying any associated hazards is up to date with the latest industry standards

This course will provide you with the skills and understanding of the requirements to safely operate a truck loader crane within the parameters outlined in the Approved Code of Practice for Cranes. This involves assessing the worksite, how to implement hazard and risk management protocols, preparation of the required documentation, and how to safely lift and place loads.

The Crane Industry recognized there was a gap in knowledge around basic slinging so introduced Unit Standard 30072 as a prerequisite covered on our Sling Regular Loads Safely Course to support more specialized training in Overhead Gantry Crane, Truck Loader Crane and Rigging and Slinging.

In accordance with the requirements to maintain Consent to Assess for the unit standards taught on this course, Safety ‘n Action had this course pre moderated and approved by our standard setting body, The Skills Organisation.

Students need to have 3 months of work experience in the industry prior to doing the course.
