Here is what Rob has to say about his work in supporting a safer New Zealand for generations to come.
I am thrilled to have joined Safety 'n Action as the newest member of their health and safety training and relationship management team. After moving from Auckland to Tauranga to be closer to my family, I bring over 15 years of experience in health and safety, both in New Zealand and offshore in the oil industry, to this team.
Before joining Safety n Action, I served as the Health and Safety Coordinator for Estates Facilities at AUT University in Auckland for 3 years. Additionally, I worked briefly with Spencer Henshaw in Auckland before spending 16 years in the oil industry. During this time, I served as a positioning specialist (surveyor) for an American company for 9 years and as a Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor for the last 7 years working onboard oil exploration vessels. Although I worked mainly away from New Zealand, I did have a small period surveying off the coast of Otago/Southland, working in the Great South Basin area undertaking oil exploration looking for oil. My first job after leaving school was with the New Zealand Defence Force, where I served for 20 years.
I am excited to continue working in an industry that I am passionate about and look forward to supporting the safety of ocal workers. I am eager to meet locals, train employees, and discuss how Safety n Action's training solutions can help keep their people safe and their business moving forward.
