US 31290, 31293. This is the course for those in charge of people or places who use hazardous substances. Legal requirements for the safe management and handling of hazardous substances are covered including emergency procedures. Managers, Supervisors or permit issuers will gain the knowledge required to go back to their workplace and make a positive change to their work environment. US 31290 is a prerequisite for obtaining a Controlled Substance Licence

This course is designed for those in charge of places or people who store of use hazardous substances and need to keep up to date with legal requirements or just want to refresh their knowledge to ensure the safety of their workplace and workmates
US 31292 This unit standard is primarily for people employed in work that does not necessarily involve the direct use or handling of hazardous substances, but who would benefit from awareness of associated adverse effects of hazardous substances present on site. It may also be useful for first time users or handlers of hazardous substances prior to specific training in safe management and handling, and for contractors and frequent visitors.
US 21563, 27215. This course is for people working in the primary sector who require understanding of, and are responsible for, the preparation and application of agrichemicals. We also cover the best practice guidelines for those who prepare and apply agrichemicals under supervision. This course follows the NZS 8409:2004 standard for the safe, effective, and responsible use of agrichemicals.
